In Fintona, County Tyrone, the Cinema is not listed in the 1947 Kine Year Book, but it is in the 1953 edition. The proprietors were M. Kelly and P.P. McCaffrey. The Cinema was still open with the same proprietors in March 1972.
It was reopened as the Mecca Cinema on 13th November 1980 with a double bill John Travolta programme “Grease” & “Saturday Night Fever”. It reopened briefly by August 1983. By September 2008, when my photograph was taken, it had been converted into retail and service outlets, having, presumably, closed as a cinema many years ago.

In May 2017 Jacqueline Kerrigan, manager at Fintona library, kindly provided the composite photocopy of the programme cover, letterhead and tickets in the attached photo. (There is also a line drawing of the Cinema, but that is unfortunately very faint.) She added that co-owner Michael Kelly lived on Main Street, and co-owner Dan McCaffrey was a dentist. The cinema building, which was previously the Town Hall, is now occupied by Q Sports and a Money Advice Centre. The programme cover confirms the Cinema was operating until March 1972, at least.
A Mrs Rafferty reopened this on 13 November 1980 as the Mecca with a double-bill of “Grease” and “Saturday Night Fever”. The eventual closing date is unclear.
Must have closed again in the early-1980s as a further reopening date with the same name is given as 1 December 1983 with a showing of Rocky III.
