The Uhlenhorster Lichtspielhaus opened in 1912 or 1913 with 800 seats, reducing to 700 in 1918 and to 680 by 1930. By then it had changed name to Alhambra Lichtspielhaus in 1928 and Schauburg Uhlenhorst from 1929.
The cinema closed after the war, but reopened in 1950, now called the Astoria Kino. It closed permanently in 1967 and is now a photographic studio.
