Astoria Cinema

In Wickford, Essex, on the corner of Jersey Gardens and Elm Road. The Public Hall became a cinema around 1955 after the closure of the Carlton Cinema. In January its name was changed to the Astoria Cinema, but it only continued for about a year. After closure, the building had many uses, including a gymnasium. It has since been demolished and housing built on the site.
