Built on the site of the silent-era Rivoli Theatre. The Range Theatre was opened December 25, 1938 with Lionel Barrymore & Lew Ayres in “Young Dr. Kildare”. It was part of the Ironwood Amusement Empire in the 1950’s, which also included the Ironwood Drive-In and Rex Drive-In in Michigan.
The Range Theatre was sold in the 1960’s and became a Paul’s store. It now operates as a restaurant.

Opened Christmas Day 1938 with “Young Dr. Kildare”, the Range was the first theatre in Hurley since the silent-era Rivoli Theatre that closed in 1927/8. That theatre was at the same location though demolished
