Opened in 1912 as a single screen, 132-seat cinema, located on a pedestrian street in the centre of historic Heidelberg. The Gloria Filmtheater now has a second screen with 78-seats named the Gloriette which is located at the rear of the Gloria Filmtheater. The Gloria & Gloriette Filmtheater screens first-run, and revival films, usually in their original language versions. Since 1994 it has been a member of the Europa Cinemas Group of arthouse cinemas.

GLORIA
The Gloria continues as a single screen cinema. The Gloriette occupies space in a building at the back of the Gloria, reached by an alleyway running alongside the original cinema.
