Located in Arundel, West Sussex. The Arun Cinema was built and opened in 1939, the first film being Robert Taylor in “A Yank at Oxford”. It was opened by the Duke of Norfolk, and was a project of Herbert A. Yapp and partners. Seating was provided for 336 in the stalls and 120 in the circle.
The Arun Cinema was closed in July 1959. In April 1962 its frontage was demolished and the site became a petrol station, with the auditorium in use as a garage. This had closed by 1993 and the building stood derelict. Eventually a new Texaco petrol station was built on the site. In 2008, a block of flats named Caen Stone Court was built.
