Located in Woking, Surrey. The Central Cinema was opened in 1913, and had 780 seats. In September 1926 it was enlarged to 1,046 seats to the plans of architects Wilfred Travers & Frank C. Spiller.
In 1929 it was taken over by the London & Southern Super Cinemas Ltd. circuit and re-named Plaza Cinema. In July 1937 it was taken over by Odeon Theatres Ltd., but retained its Plaza name.
It was re-named Gaumont from 29th May 1950, and closed by Circuit Management Association(CMA)/Rank Organisation on 13th June 1959. It was demolished and a supermarket was built on the site.
