Located in Victoria de las Tunas in the province of Oriente. The 2,000-seat Cine Rivera was opened on 15th November 1947 with Maureen O'Hara in “The Spanish Main”. This huge cinema was first managed by Isaac Rivera Castro. The Cine Rivera was still operating in 1959.
It was later re-named Cine Tunas, it continues to operate in the Plaza Martiana today as a 4-screen cinema

The Cine Tunas was renovated in 1990, actually is a multiple screen cinema with four screens.
This theater is located at Calle Francisco Varona #288, between Joaquín Agüero and Angel Guardia, in Las Tunas. It was blessed by Father Marco de Acha at its opening, attended by city Mayor Pepillo Hernández.
