The King Theatre was opened on September 1, 1949 with Sonja Henie in “Countess of Monte Carlo”. It was still open in 1978.
As of 2014 the King Theatre building was in the process of being converted to office, retail & rental apartment space. The angled marquee remains as well as two outside glass movie poster frames.
