Located in Darwen, Lancashire. The Albert Hall was built as a cinema, opening in December 1909. It had a 25 feet wide proscenium, a small stage and four dressing rooms.
Around 1929 it was equipped with a British Talking Pictures(BTP) sound system and was re-named Tudor Cinema. Taken over by the Blackpool based Gordon Theatres Ltd. around 1944, it was re-named Tudor Theatre by 1948. The Tudor Theatre was closed as a cinema by the late-1950’s.
Today it is an Indian restaurant named Akash.
