The Forest Theatre was opened in 1916 and by 1926 was operated by the Finkelstein & Ruben chain. They were taken over by Publix, who closed the theatre in 1931. In 1933 it was reopened as the Roxy Theatre, and operated until 1958. It seated 400. The site is now a vacant lot.
