Backstreet adult cinema down a narrow alley off the slightly wider alleyway Salita di S. Brigida, off Via Balbi. The two screens are split between straight and gay films. The cinema’s name translates as ‘New Jewel’; I have no idea whether this was ever a traditional cinema (the ‘Jewel’, perhaps) or whether it is a recent build making use of available space beneath a large city block.
