Ritz Cinema

The Atlas Cinema was opened on 2nd February 1914 with 1,000 seats. In 1930 it was equipped with a Western Electric(WE) sound system, and was renamed New Atlas Cinema, with the seating capacity reduced to 750. In early-1937 it was re-named Ritz Cinema. The Ritz Cinema was closed in 1960.
