Found it. The drive-in was located east of the town near the intersection of Sydney Park Avenue and William Lee Lane. You can just barely make out the faint impression of the ramps just south of the ball field. https://goo.gl/maps/Vjzfs
A more accurate location would be Stockade Lake Rd and Sydney Park Rd. The entrance road was on Hwy 16a (Stockade Lake Rd) just west of Sydney Park Rd. The drive in itself is the ballpark and some land south of the park. William Lee did not exist when this theater opened.
Please update.
Same drive-in? Boxoffice, June 14, 1952: “CUSTER, S. D. – Jack Richtman and Don Clifford have opened their 275-car, $40,000 drive-in here”
Opened on 20/6/1952 with “Ticket to Tomahawk”.
