The 3-screen Wellfleet Cinemas opened on April 4, 1986 with Danny Glover in “The Color Purple”, Mia Farrow in “Hannah and Her Sisters” & Molly Ringwald in “Pretty in Pink”. They are independently owned and operated. The cinema is adjacent to the Wellfleet Drive-In(it has its own page on Cinema Treasures). Now operating with four auditoriums, thay are equipped with Barco digital projection, Drema Digital Cinema Servers and Dolby Digital 7.1 sound. The theatre also feature RealD3D in three audioriums. The Cinema is owned by Willfleet Theatres.
