Star Theatre

The Star Theatre was opened December 15, 1927, but in October of 1930 the theatre was damaged in a fire. After reopening the theatre lasted until 1940. There was no listing for the Star Theatre after that. It was owned by J.T. Ghosen with seating listed at 350. Today there is a parking lot where the theatre once stood.

The Star Theatre opened on December 15, 1927, as noted in that day’s issue of the Sedalia Democrat.
