Opened on July 1, 1950 as the McCook Drive-In screening “Oh You Beautiful Doll” starring Mark Stevens. The name change to the Bison Drive-In took place by 1966. The car capacity was 350 and the drive-in was still listed as open in the late-1970’s.

The address for this Drive-in is 501 US-83, McCook, NE 69001.

The entrance road though barely visible is next to the McDonald’s parking lot.

Motion Picture Herald, March 7, 1953: “Merle Swank and Don Phillips have bought the McCook drive-in, McCook, Neb., from Hankey and Giddings.”
