The $5.3 million Scappoose Cinema 7, owned by Chuck Nakvasil, opened on May 2, 2008. According to the Portland Tribune, seating ranges from 50 to 175 per auditorium.
Mr. Nakvasil owns theaters in Beaverton, Canby, and Madras. He operated the Cinemagic in Portland but sold it to a former employee in 2011. In 2013 Chuck became a partner with Tom Ranieri in Portland’s Cinema 21 renovation.
