Opened in 1919, on the Avenue de la Toison d'Or, at no 8-9, the other cinemas on the avenue were the Avenue(former Select and Actual)at no 4-5 and the Acropole(former Trocadero at no 17. In 1965 the Capitole was twinned, the second screen was called Toison d'Or. It had finally 4 screens. It was damaged by a fire in 1984 and after renovations it became part of the UGC Acropole, now part of UGC Toison d'or.

So many memories of this as a 4 plex when I lived in Brussels in 79 – Foul Play, Hard Core, The Great Train Robbery and several others…
