The entrance and exit roads are now known as John Bown Grove.
753 cars from 1955 to 1958. 782 cars from 1959 to 1986.
Skyline Drive-in is in the Perth suburb of Floreat.
The Skyline Drive-in opened on 17/11/1955 with Broken lance, and cartoons(not named),and a traveloge, and newreels. The Drive-in closed on 5/4/1986 with Legend, and The jewel of the Nile.
The address is wrong, the entrance Road was off Oceanic Drive, where the photo was taken, and the exit Road was off Bold Park Road. The Drive-in site was used for viewing Halley’s comet in 1986. The entrance Road, and exit Road and ramps,(and bases of snack bar/bio box, ticket booth/s,and screen still there, next to the Town of Cambridge Shire offices. I think it is planed to include the Drive-in site in the Town of Cambridge(or Bold Park) heritage trail?
