Fiesta Drive-In

The Fiesta Drive-In was located just east of the intersection of Highway 24 & Jazmine Trail on the SE part of the town. It was opened prior to 1955 when it was operated by Mid-Central Theatres. On December 11, 1957 it was taken over by Commonwealth Amusement Corp.

The drive in was still open in 1985, but had closed and had been demolished by 1991. The general outline, ramps and projection booth/snack bar appears to still be standing.

Slight spelling correction, the address is Highway 24 & Jazmine Trail, Beloit, KS. Follow the Jazmine Trail less than a ½ mile to the east and you’ll see the remains of the drive-in on the south side. https://goo.gl/maps/xNMlU

Larry Delaney was owner in 1981 and Joel Wiede was the owner in 1982.

It appears that it was still open in 1985, but was gone by 1991, judging by aerials.

Commonwealth Theatres bought the Fiesta, along with the Beloit Theatre and 17 other theaters, from Mid-Central Theatres on Dec. 11, 1957, per a story in that week’s issue of Boxoffice.
