Goodrich Quality Theaters 3,058-seat Portage 16 opened on January 12, 2007. Northern Indiana’s first IMAX, at 80 feet wide, 4 stories tall and seating 474, opened on May 1, 2007.
The Post-Tribune noted that the Portage 16 was replacing the Portage 9, which opened in 1997 and closed in early-2007.
