Was described in one of the theatre’s calendars as “where first class pictures are shown, is owned and operated by negros, who are solely dependent on the support of our people for continued success”. Brown’s Drive-In was opened on October 1, 1950 with Jackie Robinson in “The Jackie Robinson Story”
The theatre is listed in the 1955 Film Daily Yearbook in the “negro theatres” section. It was operated by Mrs. Roxa Brown and F.L. Stowe. It was still open in 1965.

The Drive-In Theatre launched October 1, 1950 with “The Jackie Robinson Story.” Rosa L. Brown owned and operated the theatre with its 1951 name as the Brown Drive-In Theatre.
