The Vixen Theater was an adult movie theater which opened on September 22, 1969 (although not yet using the ‘Vixen’ name). The opening movies were “Madam Lee’s Pussycats” & “Girls of ‘Frisco”. The Vixen Theater can be seen in the 1971 James Bryan movie “Escape to Passion”. In addition to the exterior there is also a brief interior scene where we see the projector at the back of the room, suggesting it was a store front theater, which Mr. Bryan has confirmed. Its last appearance in the LA Free Press Adult Theater Listings was in the June 4, 1976 edition.

As of 2025 the building is still standing, although it appears the space has been vacant since the clothing store Sumiko, which had been in that spot since 1985, closed in 2023.
