Originally located on Berwick Street, renamed Fleming Avenue in (1977?) after being cut in 2 by the construction of Leach Highway.
The Bentley Motel was built in the 60’s and the rooms had a view of the screen, I wonder if they also had sound wired to the rooms.
Built on the site of a former dairy.
712 cars.
There may still be the fence and trees along the Leach Highway side of the former Drive-in theatre?
There may still be a post that had a direction sign for the Highway Drive-in on top of it at the southwest corner of fleming Avenue and Burton Street(minus the sign on top)?
I think it was in the late 1980’S or early 1990’s!!
I remember seeing “Married to the mob” and Air America" at this drive-in with my youth group in a hired double decker bus parked over at the side of(screen 1?).
The first screen was 42 feet high and 50 feet wide. The top of the screen was 60 feet from the ground. Size of second screen built later on unknown(possibly the same as the first screen?)?
