Located on the corners of Camberwell Street, William Street and Sevenoaks Street. The Waverley Drive-In opened on 31st December 1964 with “The Unsinkable Molly Brown”. The drive-in closed in (May 1989?) with “Big” and The Fly 2". The site was cleared and remained empty for a long time until some shops were built on the site(2010/2011/or 2012?).

Called Waverley because the locals used that name for that part of the suburb(possibly after the hotel of that name in the area?).
The hotel was called Waverley Hotel. The hotel was on the corner of Cecil Avenue and Albany Highway. The hotel has demolished(2000’s?) for the widing of Albany Highway. The rest of that site is now a Mcdonalds restaurant.
There was a small building on the site after the drive in was demolished, this remained there until around 2001 when the current strip mall was built.
