The Darlington Drive-In opened in 1960 in Brook Road, opposite the post office, and alongside the disused railway platform of Darlington Station facing west. The sound was provided by soundspeakers. The drive-in closed after a few months of operation (possibly the world’s shortest running drive-in?). The site is still the same as before the drive-in.
