In Gateshead, Tyne & Wear, this 9 screen Vue multiplex opened in the new Trinity Square shopping complex, close to the Metro and bus interchange stations, on 20th December 2013. All screens are, of course, digital, using Sony 4k projectors. The foyer is at first floor level, where screens 1-5 are situated. Screens 6-9 are at a lower level, accessed from the corridor that leads to screens 1-5. Seating capacities are: Screen 1 “VUEXTREME”: 386, 2: 219, 3: 56, 4: 144, 5: 201, 6: 99, 7: 70, 8: 87 and 9: 59. All screens have steeply raked, stadium-style seating.
