The People’s Theatre was opened prior to 1914. By 1926 it was operated by the Finkelstein & Ruben chain. They were taken ovedr in 1929 by Publix. They later merged with Paramount Pictures Inc. It was renamed Tower Theatre in 1950 and closed in the mid-1950’s. It reopened in 1957 and later became the Tower Arts Theatre. It was closed around 1967.

The name was changed to “Tower” in 1950, closed in the mid-50s for a time, reopened 1957. Later known as “Tower Fine Arts” in mid-60s with a mixture of art and porn. Closing was around 1967. More details when I locate specific material.
