Opened on 9/4/1937 with “China seas” and “Millions in the air”.
Classified by the National Trust on 1/10/1989. State Heritage register 1060, 16/12/2000.
The theatre building was partly used from the begining as a car showroom(Radio Motors). Radio Motors closed in 1976. The Radio Theatre Building since closure(second time) has been used as a pizza shop, 24 hour hot food/ice cream cafe/restaurant, and a leisure centre. The church(Potters House Christian Community church) has moved out to a new location in Getaldton(use of that part of the Radio Theatre unknown?). The Thai restaurant is still there. There is also an art shop(or art gallery?) there(left hand side of building, name unknown?) there too!!
The restaurant is called “The Lemon Grass Thai Restaurant”.
