Port cinema after closure in 2001,was renamed Harbour Theatre(live theatre productions?). The cinema building has been demolished(in 2014, or 2015?),future of site unknown. Carpark behind the cinema may already have been there?
Port Cineeaste(and other shops on that block and some the carpark behind) were demolished in(late?) 2014. The site is going to become a Hilton Hotel.
The hotel devolepment have have been delayed?
Worked on Port Cinema from start to finish in 1976
Sad to see it Gone
Anybody Know the Builders name ?
I think Port Cinema was built by the Fremantle City Council? The site before the cinema was built was a service station(name unknown?). Demolition started in November 2014. It is planned to built a Hilton Hotel on the site.
400 seats.
