Rosemount Theatre opened January 20, 1923 and was designed by architect Samuel Rosenthal. The theatre closed in 1960 and converted in Western Australia’s first ten-pin bowling(Rosemount Bowl) and shops along the front. Rosemount Bowl is still operating (pool and snooker hall as well).

According to “Trove” records (the online National Library of Australia) of the “Western Mail” Perth, W.A., Thursday 25th January 1923, Page 25, the Rosemount Theatre was officially opened on January 20th 1923. A photograph of the audience, taken from the screen, is included in the article.
