Forrest Theatre and Gardens Spencer Street, Bunbury, WA - 1951

Located in Carey Park, a suburb of Bunbury. The Forrest Theatre opened on 14th December 1951. The Forrest Gardens opened in 1954. The Forrest Theatre closed in September 1963, when the Forrest Drive-In opened. The Forrest Gardens closed after the Summer season in 1964. The Forrest Theatre and Gardens were demolished and a petrol station built on the site(BP).

The Forrest Theatre(and Gardens) is not to be confused with the Forrest Cinema(Drive-in).

Named after explorer and Western Australia’s first premier Sir John Forrest KCMG and his brother(also an explorer) Alexander Forrest CMG.
