Hurlingham Theatre and Gardens

Located in the South Perth district of Victoria Park. The Hurlingham Gardens opened on 8th December 1933 with “The Warrior’s Husband” and “42nd Street”. The Hurlingham Theatre opened on 31st May 1935 with “Cinderella’s Fella” and “The Count of Monte Cristo”. The Hurlingham Theatre and Gardens closed in 1963, and was leased to a retailer(name and type of business unknown) in 1964, and then demolished(date unknown?). The site is now the Metro Inn hotel

The gardens site is now the tennis courts(and swimming pool?) for the Metro Inn Hotel.

The former gardens site is also a small carpark for the Metro inn. The swimming pool(and tennis court?) has been demolished(except the fence around it and the carpark).
