Super Cinema

Located in Goldenhill to the south of Kidsgrove, Staffordshire. Built as the 500-seat Electric Theatre prior to 1934, it was equipped with a Morrison sound system. The Electric Theatre was still operating in 1944, but by 1947 it had been re-named Super Cinema. By 1953 it had been equipped with a RCA sound system. The address back then was 125 High Street, so some renumbering has been done in recent years. The Super Cinema was still open in 1966, but had closed by 1980.

It was converted into a supermarket, which in recent years was a Co-Op store and also housed a post office, but by 2015 it is an independent supermarket and post office.
