Located in Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria on the A685 road near Victoria Square. The Cinema was opened by 1931. It was operated by Westmorland Entertainments Ltd. It had a 24ft wide proscenium and was equipped with a Morrison sound system. By 1944 it had been equipped with a Gyrotone sound system.
The Cinema was still open in 1963, but had closed by 1966. It currently operates as a Co-Op Food supermarket.

The ‘Cinema’ was not listed in Kinematograph Year Book 1928, but is in KYB 1931 and 1933, with no sound system. 285 is the seating capacity in KYB 1954 and 1957.
Morrison was a company based in Leicester supplying rectifiers and sound systems to smaller venues in the UK and Ireland.
