The Royal Hall was opened on 6th December 1913, on the east side of Main Street next to the Royal Mail Hotel, separated from it by a wide lane. Pictures started been shown in 1914. An open air Gardens(Royal?) also opened in 1914 on the north side of the Royal Hall. The Royal Hall may also have been called the Regal. The Royal Hall and Gardens closed in the late-1950’s.
The Royal Hall and Gardens were demolished to make way for extensions to the Royal Mail Hotel. The Royal Hall and Gardens were replaced with the Meekatharra Picture Gardens in the late-1950’s(at a different site).
