The Great Southern Residential College Recreation Centre Theatre opened as a hostel for Katanning High School students on 2nd October 1964. In the 1970’s, recreation facilities were built, including a large sports stadium, and at the back of this stadium a theatre was added, it had raked seating, holding 120, with a built-in bio-box and a screen with curtains. The project was started by Dennis Mckenna and Troy Jones, and operated as a cinema for about two years. The theatre reopened in(1997?). Unknown if the theatre is still operating?

I think this theatre is still operating?
The college is now closed, but the buildings are still there.
