Located on Forest Street at the corner of Marine Parade.The Lido Gardens opened in(1935?). The Lido Gardens opened behind the Lido Tea-Rooms, which was later removed in pieces and relocated to Rockingham as a weekend cottage(location in Rockingham unknown?). The Lido Cabaret opened on the site of the Lido Tea-rooms in front of the Lido Gardens. The Gardens were called a Chinese Garden, because the construction had a Chinese flavour. The Lido Gardens closed in 1960, and was demolished(date unknown?).
The site is now a block of flats. The Lido Cabaret closed in 1966, after which the site was used again for a restaurant(the Mandarin, which was sold in 1996, and became the La Tropicana Restaurant. The La Tropicana Restaurant closed(date unknown?), and was converted into a restaurant/cafe/bakery called Il Lido(88 Marine Terrace) which opened in(2007 or 2008).
