The first film screenings in the West Guildford Hall was in(1910?). The name was changed to Town Hall and Gardens(date unknown?). The Town Hall seated 480 and the Gardens seated 600. It was still operating in 1960. The Town Hall and Gardens were demolished(date unknown?). the site is now The Bassendean Town Council Buildings.

The outdoors cinema was next to the Town Hall, The Bassendean Town Council Offices now stand on the site.
