Kommunales Kino

The Kommunales Kino was founded by Jochen Pollitt in 1974 in the basement of a Catholic church in Weiterstadt. In the early-1980’s this community cinema moved to its present basement location Im Burgerzentrum.

The rather unprepossessing entrance, down steps into the basement beneath a small apartment block, does not prepare one for the splendidly furnished auditorium, with its very comfortable lounge seats.
