The Studio City Mesa + ARQ was opened by Movie Palace Inc. on March 27, 2015. The eleven auditoriums include one named the Cooper auditorium, named after the Cooper Theatre in Denver CO. The Cooper auditorium has a 64ft wide curved screen and a Myer sound system for what is being called ‘ARQ’ (pronounced arc) All seats are reserved (meaning you can select your seat when you pay online or at the theatre). Ten of the auditoriums have electric leather recliner seats, while seats in the Cooper auditorium are made of the same leather fabric, but do not recline. Other features of the theatre include self-service soda fountains with a touch-screen option of choosing flavour add-ons like lemon, cherry or raspberry.

I really like this new theater, as the reclining seats are a great touch. Also like the discount pricing on Tuesdays at just $5.50 for most shows. Not sold on the Cooper auditorium though and really the like the America for the big screen experience.
Just letting everyone know that they have changed out the seat in the Cooper auditorium to the reclining type.
