The Studio opened in early 1945 and closed in 1960 (per ‘Hollywood 1940-2008’, M.Wanamaker). No address is given although looking at the photo in the book, it was located either at 1715 N. Vermont (where the Bank of America is now) or 1727 N. Vermont (where the Tower Plaza and parking lot is now located).
In the early 1960s, I often went to the Los Feliz Theatre a couple of blocks up Vermont, and I don’t remember seeing the Studio at all. It must have been gone by then. The County Assessor says the building on the site now was built in 1969.
A fire was reported by the LA Times at the Studio on 7/9/50. Address was given as 1717 N. Vermont.
Here is a 1947 ad from the LA Times:

The Studio was advertised in the LA Times on 2/11/50. Address was Vermont and Hollywood Boulevard. Admission was 54 cents.
The HK Studio Theatre is listed under the Studio 1 which was the former Ramona Theatre.
Im confused there is a listing from 1973 showing a theatre called HK Studio in Los Angeles but the address is Sunset & Alvaredo?
