In 1900 Gus Jensen built the Jensen Music Hall. In 1902 it was remodeled and the name was changed to Jensen Opera House. In 1911 movie equipment was installed by the then owner, Emitt Johnson, and the place was referred to as Johnson’s Movies. It became Legion Hall in 1928 and continued as a movie house and later called the Legion Theatre, still open in 1932.

The building, located at 110 W. Bridge Avenue still stands today. Currently the building is unoccupied and is for sale.

Many thanks to Opera Houses of Old Wyoming for all the information!
