Located in the coal mining town of Morley, twenty miles south of Trinidad. Opened prior to 1926, the YMCA Theatre was listed as seating 250, (Closed) and not wired for sound in the Film Daily Yearbook of 1932. The theatre (and every other structure in town, with the sole exception being St. Aloysius Catholic Church building) was demolished in 1956 by the Colorado Fuel & Iron Co.(C.F.&I). to avoid liability when they finally closed the town and its operations down. The theatre’s foundation most likely still remains (as of this writing in December 2015). The site is a ghost town; not one single resident still occupies it.
