In the Aberdeenshire town of Huntly, a furniture store owned by W. McKay was purchased by Elite Entertainments Syndicate for conversion into the Palace Cinema,, which opened on 3rd November 1913.
The cinema closed in 1932 following the opening of the replacement New Palace/Playhouse. The building became a furniture store again., owned by Robert J. Anton.
When I visited, in June 2005, the building was in use as a Costcutter convenience store. That use continues.
