It had 985 seats, 355 in the orchestra and 630 in the balcony. During the German occupation in World War II it became a Soldatenkino for the German troops. In 1945 it was re-named Garrison Cinema when it was used as a free cinema available to Allied troops and operated by E.N.S.A. under the management of N.A.A.F.I. It was later renovated to the plans of architect Mauriuce Gridaine and reverted back to its original name; Paris. It was one of the most popular cinemas on the Champs-Elysees and in the late-1970’s it was twinned.
The Paris was closed on 26th June 1985 and was demolished.
