Marina Cinema

Located in Fulwell district to the north of Sunderland, Tyne & Wear. The Marina Cinema was opened by the E.J. Hinge Circuit on 31st July 1935 with Cicely Courtnedge in “Things Are Looking Up”. It had a 30ft wide proscenium and was equipped with a British Talking Pictures(BTP) sound system.

The Marina Cinema was closed on 27th July 1963 with Kenneth More in “We Joined the Navy”. It was demolished and a supermarket was built on the site.
