As reported in the Roswell Daily Record on November 17, 1995, Allen Theatres opened their largest theater to date, the Allen 8. The 1,424-seat theater was designed by Partners In Architecture of Dallas.
November 12, 1995 was the last night of operation for the downtown Allen Theatre, which had shown movies for 53 years.
