Fellinis Cinema

In Ambleside, in the Lake District, in the spring of 2009, the owners of the Zeffirellis cinemas opened this third cinema in the old Conservative Club building.

The ground floor is taken up with their modern ‘Vegeterranean’ restaurant, catering for a vegetarian palette with a distinct Mediterranean twist.

Above the restaurant is a state of the art studio cinema primarily showcasing the latest art-house and niche film productions.

A range of chilled wines by the glass and cold bottled beers is available at the box office, along with soft drinks, English Lakes Ice Cream and chocolate treats.

From time to time, Fellinis studio cinema broadcasts live performances of opera, theatre and ballet from around the world via satellite.

(Note: The owners have specified that there is no apostrophe in the cinema name!)
